With two rivers running through its heart -- la Saône and la Rhône -- Lyon is blessed with a rich 2,000-year-old history. Horumersiel-Schillig, Germany ****

Horumersiel-Schillig with an annual 1.2 million overnight guests is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Germany.
